Information

Tasting: Koroneiki produces an EVOO distinguished by its green fruitiness, balanced bitterness, and vibrant pungency. The aroma is typically fresh and grassy, with notes of green herbs, artichoke, and unripe almonds, often accompanied by subtle hints of tomato leaves and apples.

Pairing: Salads with feta cheese, leafy greens, and vegetable dishes such as artichokes, tomatoes, and grilled zucchini; bruschetta; warm legumes; grilled or baked fish; octopus and seafood stews; pasta dishes; soups; and pulses, or as a final drizzle over hearty grains like lentils and bulgur, or roasted lamb or beef.

The Koroneiki olive cultivar, often referred to as the “queen of Greek olives”, originated in the Peloponnese and Crete. It is a cultivar with consistent productivity, adaptable and resilient, thriving in dry, rocky, and coastal environments. Koroneiki trees are small to medium in size, with dense foliage. The fruit is small, with an oval shape.
